Under the provision SIR 2026, each voter is needed to fill in the enumeration form, which is received from the respective BLOs. The deadline to return it to BLOs is December 4; after receiving it, they update it with ECI.
In each of the above states, maximum enumeration forms are already received by the BLOs, and they have updated it with the ECI. If you also have returned your form to your BLO with the required documents and now want to check that he/she has updated your details with the ECI or not, stay tuned.
Here, we have shared the step-by-step instructions to check the SIR status online and much more. Basically, by checking it, you will get to know if your BLO (Booth Level Officer) has updated your Enumeration Form with the ECI correctly or not.
How to check the 2026 SIR status online?
The complete step-by-step instructions to check the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) status are available below:
- Go to the official website of the Election Commission of India at eci.gov.in/.
- Find the ‘Fill Enumeration Form’ option under the section ‘SIR – 2026’ and click on it to make visible a pop-up.
- Fill in your mobile number or EPIC ID, and click on the Request OTP button.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile number, and click on the Verify & Login button to access the dashboard.
- Now, you have to select your state, enter your current EPIC number, and click on the Search button.
After going through the instructions given above, you will see a message as ‘Your form has already been submitted with Mobile No. XXXXXXXXXX’ if your BLO has updated your details with the ECI.
If after following the above steps you find that your form is still not submitted with ECI, then there is no need to worry, as your BLO has time till 4th December 2025 to submit it with ECI. If you still want to get more details in this regard, then it is better that you contact your BLO.
What’s the timeline of Special Intensive Revision 2026?
The ECI started the SIR process on 4 November 2025, and a day after that, all the people whose names are in the voter list were given the enumeration form, which they have to fill and return to the BLOs by attaching the required documents by 4 December 2025.
The Election Commission of India will publish a draft electoral roll on December 9, 2025, containing the names of all those who have filed the enumeration form, and then people will have time until January 8, 2026, to file claims and objections against this list.
After that, the ECI will verify the claims and objections received by January 31, 2026. The final list will be released exactly a week after this, i.e., on February 7, 2026. Only those people whose names appear on this list will be able to vote in the upcoming elections.
Whose name is going to be available on the SIR 2026 Final Roll?
Only those people will be included in the final roll of SIR 2026 who have provided the required documents accurately; which document a person has to provide depends on when he was born in India.
